BAE Systems Saudi Arabia names Andy Carr CEO & MD

Andy Carr has been appointed CEO and MD of BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
“Saudi Arabia has a special place in my heart. I had the pleasure of working in the Kingdom for several years and it has a very special place in my heart,” Car told Arab News.
Car said he had business relationships and friendships with many Saudi colleagues; the Kingdom is one of the most important markets for BAE Systems.
“Saudi Arabia is also one of the wealthiest countries of human and financial resources. It has a strong and solid economy that will see it become the number one destination for job seekers and financial investors,” he said.
He added that he will do his best to serve the company's clients in the Kingdom and ensure that “we provide the proper support for them.” “We will work hard in further developing the collaboration and training to allow the continuing transfer of technology and expertise,” he said.
Car has a distinguished career in BAE Systems, holding a number of senior management positions, the last being the MD of BAE Systems Oman. He also has good relationships with the company's clients and contractors in Saudi Arabia.
