Hifzur Rehman Academy honors new Muslims in Jeddah

Twelve new Muslims, who have recently embraced Islam, were accorded a warm reception in Jeddah.
The welcome reception was organized by Moulana Hifzur Rehman Seoharvi Academy, an organization that aims to preach and spread Islam in the Kingdom,
Organizers and attendees warmly welcomed the 12 men, ten of whom were from India and two from the Philippines.
Maviya, a scholar who accepted Islam in Saudi Arabia a few years ago, described the social and economic problems that converted Muslims face after accepting Islam.
“The main problem for new Muslims is their marriage. No one wants to accept them as a family member, so after accepting Islam they lose their families and friends. They don’t need financial help but require cooperation from Muslims around them,” he explained.
Maviya appealed to the community to come forward and help new Muslims when they are in need or any problem.
Dilshad Shamsi introduced two newly reverted Filipinos, Abdul Rehman Jr. and Sr., who accepted Islam two months and six months ago respectively. They shared their views on accepting the new faith, their struggle and discussed the problems they encountered when they reverted to Islam and their joy in finding the right path.
New Muslim Sheikh Sulman thanked and appreciated Moulana Hifzur Rehman Seoharvi Academy’s services of preaching and spreading Islam by distributing free CDs, literature and audiocassettes. He expressed his views and his experiences.
Chief guest Shahbaz Choudhary also said that it was an honor for him to be among prominent Indian and Pakistani community leaders, scholars, preachers and new Muslims. He congratulated and prayed for all newly reverted Muslims and extended his support and cooperation.
Bahjat Ayub Najmi, founder of the academy and grandson of the late Moulana Hifzur Rehman Seoharvi thanked all guests, members and attendees.
He said Moulana Hifzur Rehman Seoharvi was mujahid-e-millat, an Islamic scholar and a prolific writer from the subcontinent.
Due to financial problem, he said, they had not been able to organize the program for the last two years but on coming Friday the academy will organize a program for new Muslims sisters.
Shahbaz Hussain Choudhary, businessman in Jeddah and Zeeshan Ahmed Khan, Sheikh Sulman, director of the academy, were guests of honor on the occasion.
