Garbage piling up in schools

Cleaning operations have come to a halt in 20,000 schools around the Kingdom following the end of the labor rectification period.
School administrations have suddenly found themselves without cleaners and have been unable to find alternatives, which has led to major problems with pupils, parents and teachers. The problem worsens during and after school breaks.
Official sources say that the Ministry of Education seeks to contract cleaning companies for public schools and that such companies will be appointed soon.
Yet most school administrations have sought the help of foreign workers who are free during daytime hours and who work in the evening in the health care sector to clean school yards. Many schools have even asked their drivers and other workers to help clean up in order to avoid waste piling up.
