Turki Faisal Al-Rasheed, chairman of Golden Grass Inc., will be joining a panel of heads of government, ministerial and governmental personnel, international business leaders, decision-makers and experts drawn from all over the world to discuss wealth creation and social development in the Commonwealth, Indian Ocean and SAARC.
The Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from Nov. 12-14 in conjunction with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
The forum is considered to be the premier business event in the Commonwealth, bringing together heads of government, ministers and top business leaders from around the world, and will be attended by over 1,000 delegates.
CBF, organized by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) and the government of Sri Lanka, forms a part of the overall CHOGM program.
It will provide a valuable opportunity for high-level dialogue on trade and investment between business and government leaders from the Commonwealth and beyond.
The Sri Lankan president will open the forum, which will be addressed by Commonwealth heads of government.
Al-Rasheed will be making a presentation during the plenary session on “Developing the rural economy for sustainable growth.”
Under this theme, Al-Rasheed will argue that sustainable agricultural development is vital for the enhancement of food security, alleviation of poverty and promotion of economic growth in rural areas.
The forum is expected to provide a platform on which the topics under discussion can be addressed in a meaningful way, Al-Rasheed said, adding that he is honored to be part of this process.
