President: Saudi-Pak ties strong

Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain said that relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan are strong, with religion at the center of this fraternal relationship.
In his comments to Arab News, the president said that Pakistan is currently going through a number of crises with government departments in the country suffering from corruption inherited from the previous government.
The country is now burdened with massive debt accrued from a loan negotiated by the previous government with the International Monetary Fund.
Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is putting forth great efforts in getting the country out of its current situation and expects Pakistan to surmount these problems, he said.
Hussain received a delegation of the Pakistani community in Madinah to discuss its problems, such as lack of schooling for Pakistani children in Madinah.
The delegation called for starting electronic passport services in Madinah. Hussein assured them that he intends to discuss these issues with Ambassador Mohammed Naim Khan.
The Pakistani president and his family has come to the Kingdom to perform Haj. During his stay in Madinah, he visited and prayed at the Prophet’s Mosque.
