Foreign ambassadors and diplomats joined Saudi leadership and people in celebrating the 83rd Saudi National Day by greeting Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and people of the Kingdom on the joyous occasion.
The foreign envoys have welcomed the 83rd anniversary of the National Day noting the fraternal approach pursued by Saudi Arabia.
They said King Abdullah was continuing the progressive march to defend rights of Arab and Islamic countries with honesty and sincerity.
Muhammad Naeem Khan, ambassador of Pakistan said: “Pakistanis have a special attachment and reverence for Saudi Arabia. Our relationship with Saudi Arabia is based on the solid foundations of Islamic identity, shared historical experiences, and commonality of perceptions on all national and international issues. We are proud of the fact that these relations continue to gain strength with each passing day. The Pakistani community in the Kingdom has deep love and profound respect for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, the royal family, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia.”
He added: “The Kingdom has also taken giant strides in developing its physical and social infrastructure in the last few years. I pray to Almighty Allah that the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia continues to grow by leaps and bounds in the coming years.”
Indian Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao said: “India-Saudi relationship has been on an upswing trajectory under the visionary leadership of our two countries. The Delhi declaration and the Riyadh declaration reaffirmed the commitment of the two countries for joint cooperation and elevated the bilateral relations to the level of ‘Strategic Partnership’ focusing on political, economic, defense and security areas. Saudi Arabia is part of India’s extended neighborhood.”
Malaysia’s outgoing Ambassador Professor Syed Omar Al-Saggaf said: “I greet Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and Prince Muqrin on the occasion of the Kingdom’s 83rd National Day celebration. The Kingdom is undergoing a phenomenal growth and its people are enjoying a prosperous life.”
Conveying his greetings on behalf of his government to King Abdullah, Bangladesh Ambassador Mohammed Shahidul Islam said that he could see stronger bilateral ties in the coming years between his country and the Kingdom.
“We are happy to associate ourselves with the people of the Kingdom on this auspicious day,” he added.
Vadivel Krishnamoorthy, ambassador of Sri Lanka, said he is happy to send greetings on this important occasion for the government and people of the Kingdom.
“On behalf of my government, we extend our sincere greetings and good wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia, who are living in and out of the Kingdom,” he said.
Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin H Tago said: “The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh joins the Filipino community in the Kingdom in congratulating the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia during this momentous event. We hope that the Kingdom, its leadership and people, will continue to enjoy more prosperity and development. Saudi Arabia has been very hospitable to around 700,000 Filipinos, and I must take this opportunity to thank the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques for his continued kindness and humanitarian gestures to expatriates including Filipinos.”
Belgium Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Marc Vinck said: “I greet Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and Prince Muqrin on their 83rd National Day. May the Kingdom continue to enjoy growth and prosperity. I also hope that the bilateral ties between the Kingdom and Belgium will grow stronger over the years.”
Ireland Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Niall Holohan said: “We congratulate the people of Saudi Arabia on their National Day and we look forward to ever increased friendship and cooperation between the people of Ireland and Saudi Arabia in the coming years. We are greatly impressed by the economic and social development which has taken place in the Kingdom during the recent years and we are confident that this progress will continue under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah,” he added.
Extending his warm greetings Austrian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Gregor Koessler said: “On behalf of the government and the people of Austria, I would like to use the opportunity to wish King Abdullah a long life so that the Kingdom can enjoy his wise rule for a long time to come. I also wish to greet on this occasion Crown Prince Salman as well as Prince Muqrin and Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal and all the Saudi people.”
Mexican Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Jose Arturo Trejo said: “Saudi Arabia is celebrating a new anniversary of its unification and foundation as a modern state witnessing a new era of social change and technological advancement. Many notable projects are occurring in the Kingdom, among them the economic cities, the King Abdullah Financial Center in Riyadh, the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy, enhancement and expansion of the railway network, in particular the Al-Haramain High Speed Rail, and the great Riyadh Metro project. Under the wise and forward-looking guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah the Kingdom has placed itself as one of the most promising countries. Indeed, as member of the G20 it is one of the largest world economies and undoubtedly the largest and most dynamic in the Arab world.”
“I would like to mention the leadership of King Abdullah with his call for dialogue among different religions, cultures and civilizations. Precisely in a difficult time when many conflicts are going on in the region, this call is more important than ever,” Trejo said.
