STC honored for Buraidah dates festival sponsorship

Qassim Deputy Gov. Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud has honored Saudi Telecom Company (STC) for sponsoring Buraidah international dates festival, which started on 22nd of Shawal at the International Dates City on King Abdulaziz Road.
The recognition shield was received by STC’s AGM Corporate Communications Hassan bin Abdulrahman Al-Shiekh.
STC is involved in the festival of dates, which is the biggest of its kind, as a sponsor for the fourth time in a row to confirm its prominent and active role in the events and activities across all districts. “It is also a reflection of its CSR role of supporting activities of social and economic dimension,” the STC stated.
The deputy governor visited the STC wing in the festival and witnessed a presentation of STC Group’s experience at the local, regional and international levels and its contribution to the increased competitiveness of the communication and IT sector.
The presentation highlighted its efforts in supplementing development plans for all business sectors as well as its plans for spreading fiber optics and wireless technologies via 4G and coping with the most recent world technologies.
The deputy governor thanked STC for sponsoring the event and emphasized that responding to such national events by STC is a matter of credit to the company.
