I would like to bring to the notice of the relevant authorities that there has been a severe shortage of cat food. No reason has so far been cited for this shortage. We are even unable to find any report in the media on this issue. The situation is really serious for cat lovers/ owners. Should one assume that somebody in a position of authority does not like cats or is this an effort to jack up prices of cat food?
This shortage can not be related to quality control issues as the same cat food is available in Bahrain and in pet stores at exorbitant rates. We, cat lovers, hope that Arab News will try to find out the reasons behind this shortage and will highlight this issue. — Muhammad Saifudin, Alkhobar
