The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (JCCI) social responsibility department is organizing a four-day productive families’ festival that will be launched on Tuesday in Jeddah’s Hilton Hotel.
The exhibition allows around 600 productive families to showcase their creativity and find the appropriate opportunity to market their diverse and high quality traditional products.
“This festival plans to help productive families to market their products in Ramadan, which is the most popular time for marketing. It will open new markets for them and will help them promote their traditional products,” said Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Hamdan, director of the social responsibility department at the JCCI.
“It is the result of the help and support of the higher committee for productive families under the chairmanship of Makkah Gov.Prince Khaled Al-Faisal. The event will enhance partnership and cooperation between productive families and various private sectors,” he said.
Hamdan said the festival will also contribute to economic and community development and will support cottage industries to improve the financial situation of productive families. The festival will highlight national products and boost home production.
“The festival enjoys great support of the government because it helps the national economy and fights unemployment through the rehabilitation of young people. It also equips them with skills and enables them to find real jobs,” said Hamdan.
The first day of the festival is exclusively for women. It will be open for families on all other days.
