A total of 23 plays will be staged at next month’s second Taif Youth Drama Festival.
A special committee decided on the plays that include submissions from neighboring Gulf and other Arab countries.
The higher administration of the Taif festival announced the plays include “Al-Jutha Sifr” of the Taif Cultural and Arts Society, “Masaha Bauh” of the Taif Drama Troupe, “Al-Safar Birrun Lak” of the Madinah Cultural and Arts Society, “Halah Ikhtiyar” of the Hail Cultural and Arts Society and “Taayush” of the Al-Qassim Cultural and Arts Society.
Abha Cultural and Arts Society will present the play “Waba” while Riyadh’s submission is “Wadi Al-Ral.”
The foreign plays to be staged at the festival are “Sarakh Al-Qadban” from the Sultanate of Oman, “Ajuz An” from the United Arab Emirates and “Yaumiyyat” from Kuwait, the administration said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency on Friday.
