Qassim University has opened five new master’s programs — in law, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and educational administration.
Mohammad Al-Deghairi, deputy dean of graduate studies at the university, told Arab News that the number of programs has increased to 35, a 7.6 percent increase compared to last year. “The Master of Law course is offered by the college of Shariah and Islamic studies.”
Graduate students will start studies in these programs at the beginning of the new academic year.
There are 35 programs and degrees in various specializations offered by 10 colleges at Qassim University. The colleges includes Islamic law and Islamic studies, medicine, education, economics and business administration, Arabic and social studies, agriculture and veterinary medicine, science, design and home economics, engineering and computer science, Al-Deghairi said.
He said other programs are under evaluation and revision by the evaluation committee at the university. This would enhance the quality and reputation of the university’s graduate programs.
