Powerhouse Itqan Tenpin Wizards and red-hot Charlie Cheng of Dabarkads enjoyed sterling performances to clinch the Best Team and Best Bowler of the Week awards respectively during the June 28 session at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd. is the sole sponsor of the Itqan Bowlers Group (IBG) Friday Afternoon Bowling League 3rd Conference also supported by Thales represented by Nelson de Vera. IBG Advocates headed by Ian Choco organized the event.
Doy Del Moral, the prolific Fathi Abdulaziz and team mentor Ric Singson powered Itqan Wizards past arch-rival NBA team posting the top tally of 23 points and total team output of 3,890.
Del Moral fired 868 points on lines of 214, 212, 178 and 236 while Fathi and Singson shot separate series of 831 and 796. Likewise, Thong Asuncion posted 716 points while Fareed Aquino and Jun Bantug added 344 and 335.
Ryan Iñigo, southpaw Ronald Bautista and Mike Ecalnir led NBA on 760, 759 and 720 in that order. Joe Garrido had 643 points while Nelson de Vera and Bandar Al-Marshad chipped in 388 and 312.
With Cheng at the helm, Dabarkads upset league leader SACO 20-17. Cheng produced the nigh’s high series of 887 while Obet Miranda supported him with 885 points. The other scorers at Dabarkads were Ruel Pingol, Ramil Glorioso and Mario “Helicopter” Rivera who tallied separate series of 796, 783 and 780. Dabarkads equipped with team handicap of 123 posted total team output of 4,131.
At the forefront of SACO with total team output of 4,109 was Joel Batolina with 858 points. Batolina was followed by George Sto. Domingo 782 and Stephen Ajera 816 points. Jun Sebastian and Jim dela Rosa contributed 436 and 391.
Magnificent-5 rolled past ABB Jex 21-4 with Shakur Kamlian leading the way by posting 866 points. Jun Daniel, Paul Decena and Clem Ojeda backed up Kamlian with separate series of 782, 781 and 724.
Carrying the load for ABB Jex were Rurik Ian Santos (770), Louie Laguardia (734), Veo Adina (732), and Atoi Ramos (696).
Thales managed by de Vera defeated Roll and Bowl 20-17. Taking charge at Thales were Andro Tismo (844), Dennis Gabriel (833) and Rodel Maranca (818).
For Roll and Bowl Butch Espinosa was the main man on 867 points and coming in next to him was the duo of Fred Dioquino (775) and graceful Ruby Urrutia (735).
Itqan Tornado recorded a 20-15 victory against ZEZO behind the good performances of Freddie Santiago (861), Ruben Babasa (832) and Reynald Medina (801).
Cas Encila led ZEZO on 849 with Fhel Ramos shooting 794, Ed Cruz 779 and Jess Ambon 755.
My Girl whipped Angel Vipers 20-13. Edgar Buenaventura led My Girl on 843 points while Edgar Badeo was at the forefront of Angel Vipers on 805 points.
Super Bowl blasted Saudi-Oger 20-6. Sam Alinsod led Super Bowl on 822 points, while Edwin Quano top-scored at Saudi-Oger on 790 points.
