Movenpick Hotel Al Khobar, for the second year, hosted the Movenpick Saudi Development Center’s initiative of training for selected Saudi employees from different Movenpick properties in Saudi Arabia for cross exposure in the hospitality sector.
Launched in the Kingdom in June 2012, the Movenpick Saudi Development Center’s program commenced with its aim of educating while at the same time enhancing the skills of the apprentices through vigorous on-the-job training focused on front office hotel operations.
Yusuf Mohamed Attiya of Movenpick Hotel Al Nawras Jeddah and Ahmed Al-Masawah of Movenpick Hotel Anwar Al Madinah were given the privilege to partake in this 6-week front office training. Both receptionists received a program syllabus which covered predominantly the Movenpick Hotels and Resorts' standards on guest services and relations, applications of key operating procedures and techniques, hospitality requirements, and technical practicum on front office systems. Rooms, facilities and back office tours were also carried-out to magnify the hotel’s vital features and daily operations.
The graduation ceremony took place on June 10 and was attended by GM Markus Marti along with the department heads of the hotel. The two successful scholars that are equipped with more cognition and amplified expertise, gained comprehensively through classroom training sessions and practicum, reported back to their respective hotels and are all geared up to deliver to all its guests the Movenpick Hotels & Resorts promise, the "Natural Enjoyment."
