The Saudi Arabian Embassy in Bahrain celebrated the end of the four-year term of duty of Saudi teachers in Bahrain by organizing a function at the Ministry of Education hall in Isa town recently. The annual celebration also marked the bilateral cooperation and relationship between Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Those who attended the ceremony included Dr. Majed Ali Al-Naimi, minister of education, Riyad Saud Al-Khenene, minister plenipotentiary at the Saudi Embassy, and Dr. Abdullah Salem Alzahrani, cultural attaché, and officials from the two countries.
Al-Naimi told Arab News that Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have long and deep historic relations which receive unlimited support from wise leaderships in the two Kingdoms.
“The Bahrain Ministry of Education as a member of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) has many joint projects and accomplishments in education in all GCC countries,” he said. He added that there is a joint project to procure maths and science books. ABEGS office conducted a study to choose the books. “This event is a confirmation of the evolution and development of cooperation and coordination between the two countries,” he said.
Al-Naimi thanked Saudi teachers for their sincere efforts in teaching. He said that they had reflected the best picture of ideal teachers during their duty of teaching.
Al-Khenene said that the deploying of Saudi teachers to Bahrain comes in implementation of the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah in strengthening cooperation between GCC countries.
He added, “Saudi teachers are doing a noble job to serve their brothers in the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as fulfilling the vision of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.”
Alzahrani said that there are 30 Saudi teachers who go back every year and 30 new teachers come from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain. He added, “Next year we will receive 100 new Saudi teachers.”
