Arabic Linguistics, a new scientific journal that will appear every six months, will be launched by King Abdullah International Center for Arabic Language Service (KAICA).
The publication aims to promote modern studies of the Arabic language using a scientific linguistic approach. It will focus on studies that link contemporary linguistic perspectives and modern linguistic approaches with the Arabic language, as well as studies that apply these theoretical approaches to Arabic.
The center’s secretary-general, Abdullah Al-Washmi, said the launch of Arabic Linguistics comes from within KAICA’s efforts to serve and observe Arabic language and literature. The journal’s articles will cover topics based on reliable scientific studies dealing with Arabic language from different linguistic angles.
Al-Washmi said KAICA sets out to make this journal one of leading publications in its fields. Studies will be published according to global publishing concepts and the journal will appear regularly.
He also mentioned the diverse specialties of the journal’s editorial board members who assess and review the quality of published papers.
He expects to publish a diverse range of research sources from all over the world by researchers of different nationalities. Al-Washmi urged interested researchers to submit their papers to Arabic Linguistics journal via King Abdullah International Center for Arabic Language Service in Riyadh at www.kaica.org.sa.
