Cambridge skills boost for Saudi Post employees

The Saudi Post has adopted the Cambridge IT certificate skills as formal qualification for employees of the institution.
The move brings the Saudi Post in line with other institutions, such as the Ministry of Civil Service and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, that already require the certificate.
Saad bin Abdullah Al-Turki, vice-president for Planning and Development, issued guidelines that require the adoption of the certificate for employees of all sectors of the organization as a training course equivalent to six months for employees of the Saudi Post. The measure seeks to upgrade technical capability of employees and quality of service, besides capacity building of the enterprise. To this end, it will make optimum use of technology in operations and management within the framework of the government policy to speed up the implementation of e-government services in various sectors.

SP will also bear the cost of the training program to encourage employees to develop their skills in computer operations and its various applications so that they become eligible for this major international certificate.
Jamal bin Hassan Alhefzi, general manager of CIT Saudi Arabia, will be responsible for the management certificate program in developing IT skills at the Cambridge International.
