A major industrial company in the Eastern Province plans to recruit 5,000 Indian workers affected by the Kingdom's Nitaqat program.
The Nasser S. Al-Hajri Corporation will hold a two-day recruiting drive in the capital from Thursday to employ the Indian workers.
A spokesman for the company told Arab News yesterday: "We plan to recruit 27 categories of workers, ranging from technicians to project managers.”
NSH is an industrial contracting firm specializing in oil and gas, petrochemicals, refinery, power and desalination, mining and other heavy industries. The company, which has contracts with Saudi Aramco, also has projects in Yanbu, Jazan, Jubail and Ras Al-Khair.
The spokesman said it was a golden opportunity for those wishing to transfer their sponsorship and legalize their stay in the Kingdom.
Walk-in interviews will be held at Alia International School in the Malaz district in the capital, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
Openings currently exist in the civil and mechanical disciplines in the following categories: Project managers, site managers, construction managers, superintendents, engineers, supervisors, foremen and QA/QC inspectors/supervisors. There are also openings for quantity surveyors, welding inspectors, painting inspectors, scaffolding inspectors, data entry operators, document controllers, heavy vehicle drivers, carpenters, duct erectors/fitters/fabricators, industrial electricians, auto electricians, heavy equipment operators, instrument fitters/technicians, laborers, land surveyors, masons, mechanics, millwright fitters, pipe fitters, riggers, sand blasters, scaffolders, sheet metal fitters/fabricators, structural fabricators/fitters, structural/tig arc welders and safety supervisors.
To speed up the processing of jobs following the interviews, the spokesman said the company has arranged for 10 counters manned by technical experts who will evaluate the interviewees. On selection, the company’s Saudi coordinators would process the transfer of sponsorship without delay.
The Indian Embassy and its consulate in Jeddah have been approached by various Indian and Saudi companies offering jobs for Indian workers.
