Pak expats optimistic after polls

Pakistani Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan yesterday expressed his desire for more sustainable development in Pakistan following the 2013 elections.
“There was a large turnout of voters who showed interest in the democratic process,” Khan said.
“This is a victory for the people of Pakistan who have shown faith in the democratic process,” Khan added.
Asher Noor, a Riyadh-based Pakistani accountant, said: “We would like to see industrial and technological growth take off after elections because that’s how nations prosper. I would be happy to bring private equity firms and investors to Pakistan.”
A Riyadh-based sales director, Zulfiqar Ali, said: “The new government should focus on education, electricity, infrastructure and health, which are the basic needs of the country during difficult times.”
