Saudi cyclist Al-Habarty wins Carrefour Le Mall 25-mile TT race

By the narrowest of margins, the magic hour mark was beaten by young Saudi rider Aymon Al-Habarty, who had traveled from Jeddah specifically for the Carrefour Le Mall 25 miler.
Pushing him close but disappointed to not beat the hour was Jiri Kuba, coming into some of his best form in recent years. The early starters had the better of the weather conditions, which dashed the hopes of those starting near the end of the 50 plus field, in particular Chad Albury who wanted to finish off a great season and use his good form for a sub hour ride.
Some riders were happy with their performance, however, Kelvin Bowers showing a welcome return to the class he displayed when he swept all before him a few season ago, Raul Minarro, Stu Gillespie, George Morete, Reiner Gocian, Edwin Seneres, Brett Girven, Andy Geara and Tony Williams all finished off their season strongly and look good for a good showing next year.
Cat B was taken for the second week by Jana Jaruskova, the newly created Espoirs category by Kane Pickles and the Juniors by Mohammed Al Bahaa.
