Bazme-e-Ittihad, an Indian welfare organization in Jeddah, hosted a function to celebrate their recent restructuring at a local restaurant recently.
Prominent members of the Indian community and other local organizations, such as Khake-Taiba Trust and United Andhra Pradesh Forum, also attended.
“Bazme-e-Ittihad is a welfare organization with the objective of promoting education, peace and unity,” said the organization’s chief adviser Mirza Mazher Ali Baig.
Bazm-e-Ittihad also belongs to the AIMIM (All India Majlis Ettehadul Muslimeen), an Indian political party. Syed Ali Mehmoud, a patron of Bazm-e-Ittihad, appreciated the efforts and dedication of the newly appointed members.
“If we really wish to serve the community, we must give our youth a chance,” he said, adding that AIMIM serves the society irrespective of cast and religion.
Ahmeduddin Owaisi, president of AIMIM, said “Bazm-e-Ittihad Jeddah is not just a paper organization. It not only represents the Muslims of Hyderabad but also includes members from all parts of India.”
He encouraged youth to be active on social and digital media to spread Bazm-e-Ittihad’s message to the world.
Emran Azmat, a member of the organization, briefed the audience on the role of social networking.
M.N. Qureshi explained the importance of monitoring broadcast input through various channels, such as social and print media, while Sayeed Harron shared his views on different activities of the organization.
Ex-Secretary General Yousufuddin Amjad conveyed his happiness for the new committee and expressed his well wishes to Abdul Qayyum, the newly appointed forerunner, and to all their members.
The Joint-Secretary of Bazm-e-Ittihad Jeddah and Syed Khaja Viqaruddin, events manager, praised the hard work of youth in his speech. “Bazm-e-Ittihad has decided to explore new talent and provide an opportunity for youth to be at the forefront,” he said.
