New ministers join UAE Cabinet

The UAE has replaced its energy minister, injected four new ministers, created a ministry for development and international cooperation, and merged foreign trade and economy ministry in a cabinet reshuffle.
According to state news agency WAM, President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahayan has approved the reshuffle.
The new Cabinet includes four new ministers and some changes to current ministerial port-folios.
The newcomers are: Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazroui, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Sultan Mohammad Al-Jaber and Abdullah Mohammad Saeed Gobash.
Al-Nuaimi assigned to head the Ministry of Public Works, while Al-Mazroui becomes Minister of Energy, replacing Mohammed Al-Hamli, who has left the cabinet.
Sultan Mohammad Al-Jaber and Abdullah Mohammad Saeed Gobash will serve as Minister of State Affairs.
“The reshuffle brought in new young faces to renew ideas and follow up with changes and deal with important national matters that form a priority for all sons of the UAE. The former ministers have performed their duty, serving their country,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak is now the Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development.
He was serving as the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research since 1992.
He replaces Dr. Abdulrahman Al Owais, who retained his other job as Minister of Health.
Al-Owais was acting health minister since 2011.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, the former Minister of Public Works, took-over Sheikh Nahyan’s position at Higher Education.
Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, the former Minister of Foreign Trade, moved to head a new department, the Ministry of Development and International Co-operation.
Shaikh Khalifa wished the new ministers success in their duties, and expressed his thanks and gratitude to them for the efforts they have exerted in the service of their nation.

Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs

Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum: Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance

Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan: Minister of Foreign Affairs

Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan: Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development

Shaikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Shaikha Lubna Al-Qasimi: Minister of Development and International Cooperation

Mohammad Abdullah Al-Gergawi: Minister of Cabinet Affairs

Sultan Bin Saeed Al-Mansouri: Minister of Economy
