The Alwaleed bin Talal Foundation, chaired by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, has sponsored the establishment of a business incubator in Taibah-Women’s Society for Social Development in Madinah.
The business incubator at Taibah focuses on developing and promoting social and economic initiatives for women living in Madinah throughout entrepreneurship programs.
The incubator provides a suitable environment, right tools, and numerous resources that would assist Saudi women to cope with challenges and potential pitfalls they might face as new entrepreneurs.
The business incubator project aims to develop research/ideas into leading marketable projects, increase success possibilities, motivate potential in ambitious women, and provide support to fight unemployment.
Taibah-Women’s Organization for Social Development was the first organization for women in the city, offering support to orphans , people with special needs, and needy families.
One of the foundation’s project Women Empowerment Initiative “Hama”, that is overseeing implementation of Nora Al-Malki, aims to support the greatest number of institutions that are active in raising awareness of women’s legal rights. Moreover, the initiative supports vocational training programs for women across various fields, as well as teaching them designing artifacts with limited resources.
Furthermore, honoring women leaders and highlighting their success stories in the society, in an effort to build role models for the youth.
The initiative includes various groups of women, some with post-graduate degrees; others with no university education, including those with no primary education.
