Toyota Sequoia, Almabani keep winning in JBL

Toyota Sequoia of Jimmy Abdullah Beltran beat Al Mostaqbal Hospital 67-59 for its fourth straight victory in the JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at Bin Mafouz court on Tahlia St., Al Andalus District here.
Toyota Sequoia managed to contain the last-ditch rally by Al Mostaqbal, which missed the services of its main man Bertolano.
Fadi Al Tawil scored 16 points for Toyota Sequoia and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game while Orsajes top-scored with 23 points for Al Mostaqbal.

Sabr Brothers Yellow of Rasheed Suyat defeated Salam Brothers White 60-56. Salam Brothers White was leading up to the 3rd quarter. Sabr Brothers Yellow applied trapping defense to grab the lead in the last 2 minutes of the game.
Jameel Cobre had 17 points for Sabr Brothers Yellow and was adjudged as the JBL best players of the game while Dawood Antonio led Salam Brothers with 19 points.
ALJ Used Cars of Ronald Uranza beat Al Ittifaq 83-79. Both teams played well in the whole game.
ALJ Used Cars attacked the shaded area in the crucial seconds of the game. Gani Tabao contributed 19 points for ALJ Used Cars and was adjudged as the Saudi Signs best player of the game while Rodolfo Ortiz had 27 big points for Al Ittefaq.
ALJ Central Purchasing of Noel Sun defeated Urban Design Group 71-50. ALJ Purchasing caught UDG in its off night. UDG committed so crucial errors in the final quarters.
Paul Taguba top score with 20 points for ALJ Central Purchasing and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Reloj had 17 points for UDG.
Thursday, Uptown 966 of Halim Mezer beat Islamic Development Bank 64-48. Uptown 966 played its offense well in the final quarter as IDB lost steam and missed its mark. Rafael Saldua top-scored with 23 points for Uptown 966 and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Marvin Cortez had 10 points for IDB.
AVK Wild Boys of Jolli Tilo beat Saudi Diyar 65-56. AVK Wild Boys displayed team work in crucial minutes of the game to defuse Saudi Diyar defense. Boyce and Nabong had 13 points apiece for AVK Wild Boys and were adjudged as the Arab News best players of the game while Gerald Deleon scored 23 points for Saudi Diyar.
Almabani of Victor Carreon defeated Jeddah Eagles 46-45. Scores kept changing side in the whole game. Almabani managed to escape the man-to-man defense of Jeddah Eagles in the crucial seconds of the game for its third win in four outings.
Caguioa had 14 points for Almabani and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Alfred scored 19 points for Jeddah Eagles.
