Emirates, one of the world's fastest growing airlines, yesterday celebrated the opening of its 35th dedicated lounge for First Class and Business Class passengers as well as platinum and gold members of Emirates Skywards — the airline’s frequent flyer program, at Milan Malpensa Airport.
Following closely from the opening of the Emirates First Class and Business Class lounges in Concourse A-Dubai Airport, the world’s first dedicated A380 Concourse, the Emirates lounge at Milan Malpensa Airport, a 2.48 million euro investment, is the first international lounge to feature the airline’s contemporary new interior design.
Mohammed Mattar, Emirates’ divisional SVP-airport services; Giulio De Metrio, SEA COO and deputy CEO; and Emirates-sponsored AC Milan football team players, including, Massimo Ambrosini, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Stephan El Shaarawy, along with AC Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri and AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani, local dignitaries, members of the media and senior Emirates staff, attended the opening ceremony.
“This new Emirates lounge reaffirms our dedication to providing our premium customers with consistently high standards. This opening aims to strengthen our commitment to the city, where we have established our presence with three daily flights in addition to our AC Milan sponsorship,” said Mohammed H. Mattar, Emirates’ divisional SVP-airport services.
“Constantly seeking to innovate, the new lounge design is reflective of the understated luxury of our lounges in Dubai Concourse A, and it is this type of investment that sets Emirates apart. It is a matter of great pride to be adding Milan as the 35th Emirates lounge in our global network of lounges,” he added.
