Pakistan women’s club holds charity dinner

The Pakistan Ladies Club held a charity dinner and Ghazal night here recently to raise funds for needy causes.
The event was attended by Pakistan Ambassador Mohammed Naeem Khan and his wife Anila, and Pakistan Consul General Aftab Khokhar and his wife Afshan, the chairperson of the club.
Khan, the guest of honor, praised the women members for their efforts to help the poor. He said Pakistani women are strong and active members of the community.
“I am very grateful to the ladies club for organizing the event and giving me a chance to meet the Pakistan community. The Pakistan Ladies Club, which was established under the umbrella of the Pakistan consulate, has been working hard for decades to help the community, especially in education. The club is projecting a great image of Pakistan by spreading awareness about our culture. We really appreciate their efforts. They have done a great job, we are very proud of them,” he said.
Rubila Rathore, assistant coordinator of the club, said the main aim of the organization was to help poor students and women. The group also organizes cultural exchange programs to improve ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
This year the club will organize a food festival and various programs based on the culture and traditions of the four provinces of Pakistan. “We hope that under the leadership of Afshan Khokhar, we will make a difference,” she said.
Afshan said that the club has always played an important role in promoting Pakistan culture and tradition, and to provide an opportunity for women to get together and find solutions to their problems. “I am proud to be the new chairperson of this elite group,” she said.
Anila Naeem also praised the efforts of the organization. “Pakistan has a centuries old culture and rich heritage. Organizing cultural exchanges can play a great role in promoting our culture and heritage. I therefore urge members and all the ladies of the Pakistan community to support this club and their initiatives,” she said.
Nighat Nadeem, the coordinator of the organization, thanked the guests and said the organization will prosper under the new leadership. “We thank everyone who supported us so generously,” she said.
