Proshop Strikers score double in Almarai Saturday League

The Proshop Strikers enjoyed a double celebration after they captured the Team of the Week award and the Bowler of the Week plum courtesy of team captain Ric Urrutia Jr. during the 17th session in the Almarai–FBGR Saturday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center here.
With Urrutia at the helm the Strikers demolished Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad 25-8.
Urrutia shot the high series of 947 on lines of 246, 276, 226 and 179 to lead by example at Proshop, which also received big rounds from the pair of Rodel Maranca 941 and Ed Cruz 914. Vic Barrazona added 773 and Ruel Toledo 722.
At Alsalam Rollie Cleofe rolled the top series of 927 followed by Mario Miranda 769, Bandar Al-Marshad 712, David Magsalin 607 and Alfred Valencia 648.
The match between Exodus and Expendibles ended in a 2-2 draw at 21-17. Leading the way for Exodus were captain Benny Mondoy 895 and Joel Lambo 846 while Jojo Miraflor had 840 and Edgar Buenaventura 796.
Butch Espinosa and Rizal Dellosa contributed two games of 445 and 432. The losing team had Fathi Abdulaziz shooting 909. The other scorers were Erwin Nacario 896, Jerry Austria 789, Fahd Al-Haza 763, Hani Al-Nasleh 428 and Jett Cabana 409.
Nadec Strokers team mentored by Lope Ramirez defeated the three-time defending champion Eraserheads of Armin Isles 18-3. Top scorer at Nadec was Reynald Medina 925. Atoi Ramos, Lope Ramirez, Ruben Babasa and Jojo Paciano followed Medina on 817, 765, 723 and 686 in that order.
Ronald Bautista was the main man at Eraserheads on 756 with Jojo Gabriel on 700, Edwin Atienza 752, Fernie Ballano 422, Benito Santos 347, Joe Garrido 344 and Isles 336.
Carry Over of Lulu Quejada smashed Kapit-Bisig piloted by Fe Divinagracia 16-13 in a 2-2 match. Bembol Velasco was the Carry Over top scorer on 860 points. Supporting Velasco were Nap Torres 850, Abdullah Amoudi 827, Celis Viloria 826 and HRH MS 717. For the losing team leading scorer was James Boyd 837 followed by Omar Valdez 808, Joe Rafael 782, Jojie Manalansang 726 and Billy Baladiong 551.
In other matches, RG512 for Clothes of Yasser Mohamed defeated SABB Tenpin Wizards of Allan Ofreneo 23-7, Sebo Boys of Koko Torres walloped Alinma Bank mentored by Abdulrahman Ahmed 22-11, while Almarai Co. of Emerson Mitra won by default Alfanar Team 15-0.
