A “Goodbye: Kindergarten 13” program was celebrated recently in Alif International School in Riyadh.
The graduation ceremony of this year’s upper kindergarten batches and cultural programs by the KG students were the key attractions.
“We are no more Kindergarten babies,” said Reethaj Mohammed of UKG, who comes from Nigeria.
“Now we are going to step into elementary school. So I am very happy today.”
Alif Educational Trust Chairman T.P Alikunhi Moulavi inaugurated the function. Chairman crowned Sajida Thamir Ahmed, topper of all KG classes, who hails from Egypt.
School Principal K.C Mohammed Shaijal presided over the function. KG Coordinator Farheen Fathima gave the graduation message.
Trust Executive Director Luqman Pazhur offered the blessings message. Academic Coordinator Ayemon Faruque Khan gave the welcome speech and master Mazin Zaman Babar proposed the vote of thanks. All the upper KG students were crowned with graduation caps by various teachers.
As part of the function, KG children carried off different cultural programs. The re-mix dances from the popular Bollywood numbers like Zubi Zubi, Bumbum bole, Choti si Asha and Arabic album Ya mamma entertained the audience. The picturization of Alka Yagnik’s song Mulberry Bushes, dance drama Jungle Theme and Butterfly Dance also were the highlights.
Mothers of all KG students attended the program. “We are very much delighted. The kids performed brilliantly,” said Yemni Khulood Mohanned, mother of Azil UKG.
Academic Coordinator Ayemon Khan, KG Coordinator Farheen Fathima and staff members Kutheja Bi Siddique, Shafiya Fathima, Swaliha, Regina, Noora Ali, Sonia, Hafsa and Yusuf Usman helped in making the event successful.
