I express my sorrow and grief over the twin blasts in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. It is a heinous act of the anti-national elements who have no respect for the law and human lives. They are the real enemies of peace and security; their only aim is to create chaos and terror in the country. Such terrorist groups are a serious threat to the country and should be dealt with iron hand. The immediate visit to the blast site by the chief Minister, governor, central and state home ministers is a positive move, which shows their concern and interest in establishing peace in the country. The central and state governments should issue directives to the investigating authorities to investigate various angles and should not harass the innocent people without having any sound evidence against them, avoiding previous mistakes. The media should not make any hasty assessments and blame any group or persons of any religion without proper knowledge and information. It is the basic and important responsibility of media personnel to inquire and get genuine information about the incident. Public should not pay any heed to the baseless rumors and defeat the communal and terror groups with unity and wisdom. — Zakaria Sultan, Riyadh
