Qadir bowls Kanoo Freight to victory

Deadly bowling by Kanoo Freight bowlers Qadir against Kanoo Commercial and fine batting performance by Kanoo’s Faiz of Finance were the highlights of the on-going Kanoo Inter-Division Cricket Tournament being played in Riyadh.
In first match Kanoo Commercial winning the toss and electing to bat first were unable to stand against deadly bowling by Qadir and were bowled out for 52. Qadir took 3 for 9 run including a hat trick. He was well supported by Mohamed Inham (2 for 11) and Vasanth (2 for 17). Hassan (14) and Prasanth (10) top-scored for Kanoo Commercial.
In reply Kanoo Freight helped by Sadiqulla’s fine 26 romped home losing 7 wickets. Zahir bowled well for Kanoo Commercial and took 3 for 13 while Prasanth and Riyaz took a wicket each.
In another match Kanoo Travel easily beat Kanoo Finance by 13 runs. Electing to bat first Kanoo Travels helped by Riyaz (36), Shakir (14), Riju (10) and Madhu (14 n.o.) scored 97 for 4 in their allotted over’s. Arun and Shabbir took a wicket each for Kanoo Finance.
In reply Kanoo Finance were restricted to 84 for 5 in their allotted over’s. Faiz played well but could not save Kanoo Finance from defeat. He remained unbeaten on 45 and was well supported by Arun (12). Riju and Shakir took 2 wickets each while Taqi bagged a wicket for Kanoo Travels.
Earlier last week, Kanoo Freight helped by Mohamed Inham’s hat trick beat Kanoo Commercial by 6 wickets. Batting first Kanoo Commercial were all out for partly 59. Yunis (17 n.o.), Imtiaz (12) and Hassan (10) were the notable scorers in Commercial innings. For Freight Mohamed Inham took 4 wickets including hat trick conceding 21. He was well supported by Qadir (4 for 17) and Vasanth (1 for 8). Freight achieved their target losing 4 wickets in the process. Vasanth batted well and top-scored with an unbeaten 27.
In another match Tense (23 n.o.), Jaffar (23) and Faiz (17 n.o.) guided Kanoo Finance to easy 9 wicket victory over Kanoo Travels. Riju took the only wicket to fall. Earlier Travels scored 67 for 8 in their allotted over. Shafie Zubair (27) and Shakir (14) were the only Travel batsman to reach double figures. Arun K (2 for 26) and Shabir (2 for 18) were the most successful bowlers for Finance.
