Catalogues of more than 100 Indian companies, covering a wide range of sectors such as machinery, tools and equipment, textiles, automobile and spare parts, building material, foodstuffs and spices and fashion, were on display at a two-day show organized by the Consulate General of India in Baha, which ended yesterday.
Ali M. Mongash, vice chairman of Baha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, opened the catalogue display at the chamber premises at the premises and lauded such initiatives from the Indian consulate.
Hatim Saeed Al-Safi, vice chairman, said the catalogues displayed at the show provided a “unique opportunity” to the local business community to get first hand information of India’s goods and services.
Chamber Secretary General Safar G. Al-Zahrani conveyed his happiness over the show, which had a large turnout of visitors.
M. K. Ghildiyal, consul (commercial) at the Indian Consulate, expressed hope that with this show the bilateral business ties would expand further.
“The commercial wing of the consulate is always available to assist the local business community,” he added.
Ghildiyal and Pawan Tripathi, vice consul (commercial) interacted with the visiting Saudi businessmen and briefed them about India’s range of quality products and services.
