Abbasi, Arsalan, Ateeq, Taufeeq shine in ORIX Cricket Tournament

KFSH Blues scored a comfortable 82-run win over Amir Holidays to enter the semifinals of the Saudi ORIX Cricket Tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association. KFSH will meet arch-rivals Pak Shaheen, who later routed Lahore Badshah by 102 runs.
In the Al Kharj Zone, round nine of the tourney, KFSH piled up 364 for 8 off their stipulated 40 overs after they won the toss and elected to bat.
Openers Nasir Abbasi (91) and Ayaz (38) gave them a flying start, which was later propped up by Khurram (60), Saqib (54) and Nadeem Babar (35). Arsalan and Nadeem took 2 wickets each for Amir Holidays.
Chasing a difficult target, Amir Holidays made 282 for 7 from their stipulated overs. Arsalan held the innings together with 107 runs, Nadeem scored 32 and Imran 23. Usman was the pick of the bowlers for KFSH Blues and took 3 wickets.
Later Pak Shaheen put up 302 for 9 from their stipulated overs. The winners lost quick wickets at the start of the innings but Ateeq (95) and Iftikhar (78) played brilliantly in the middle overs. They were later consolidated by Ibrar (28) and Aziz (28).
Lahore Badshah were all out for 200 in reply. Abdulaziz and Abdulwahid got 2 wickets each. Despite their defeat the Badshah’s too qualified for the last four stage and will take on Lahore Lions.
In Huraymala Cricket Zone, KFSH Green got the better of Green Bangla by 34 runs. KFSH Green batted first and scored 191 off 20 overs. Suhail Bakhshi batted through the innings and remained unbeaten on 88. He was well supported by Rafaqat 48 and Kausar 23.
Green Bangla were all out for 157 in reply. Tahir Abbasi bowled excellently and took 4 wickets. Mansoor Ali and Kauser got 2 wickets each.
In another match, Riyadh Warriors batted first and scored 169. Asif (38), Abdulraheem (24) and Hassan (24) did their best. Shakoor and Sajid bowled well and took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Stallions lost 8 wickets in pursuit of the target. Imran scored 28, Amir 25 and Sohail 23. Toufeeq took 5 wickets for Warriors. Shaikh also chipped in with 2 wickets. Stallions won by 2 wickets.
Thales beat Riyadh Panthers by 35 runs and confirmed their place in the semifinals of Huraymala Zone. Taking strike first, Thales scored 172 off 20 overs. Asim (44), Aziz (42) and Khursheed (31) were the main run getters.
Panthers managed to put on board 137 in reply. Aziz took 3 wickets while Fahad got 2.
Saudi Jaguar beat FUCHS by 3 wickets. FUCHS batted first and scored 185 for 9 off 20 overs. Awais (52), Mohsin (41) and Shoaib (31) did their best. Danish bowled well for Saudi Jaguar and took 4 wickets. Awais picked 2.
Saudi Jaguar achieved the target off 18 overs. Haider Ali (37), Kamran (32) and Danish (29) were the main scorers. Shahid and Shahbaz got 2 wickets each for FUCHS.
In Riyadh Cricket Zone, Pak Force beat Crescent by 20 runs. Batting first Pak Force scored 158. For Crescent Farhan got 4 wickets. Crescent were all out for 138 in reply.
Azhar (46) and Farhan (21) were the scorers. Kashmir Press beat TCS Riyadh in another match.
TCS batted first and scored 158 off 20 overs. Danish took 3 wickets while Mir Wais, Adeel and Qasim got 2 wickets each for Kashmir Press. Kashmir Press achieved their target, thanks to quick fire 42 by Danish, 26 each by Zafar and Qasim and 25 by Shabab. Serendib beat Seham in another match of Riyadh Zone.
