240 Saudis graduated from intensive English course

A total of 240 trainees have successfully completed an intensive English language course run by the Technical and Vocational Training Council of Makkah.
The graduation ceremony was held Monday under the auspices of Dr. Hamad bin Alakla, deputy governor of the council; and Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al- Zahrani, president of the council. The program was organized by the Jeddah Industrial Institute.
Samir Fatani, the program director, said graduates must speak English.
“This has been offered because of the needs of the market.
This will enable them to get better jobs. The training course lasts for 21 weeks and involves a total of 630 hours of training.”
He said the program also helps prepare students for the scholarship program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah. Fahad Al-Amoudi, dean of the Communication School in Jeddah and Misfer Badran, director of the institute were also present at the graduation ceremony.
