Toughening its stand against Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s courageous remark that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) promotes Hindu terrorism, the BJP has decided to boycott all public programs of him till he tenders an apology.
According to their new strategy, the BJP activists will show black flags to Shinde everywhere in the country to protest against his comments.
As a matter of fact there are many leads pointing to the involvement of the BJP and the RSS in many terror attacks in the country. Instead of having repentance and seeking apology from the public and the government, their leaders are shamelessly targeting the home minister and the central government.
Since Shinde’s statement is rare but very genuine, the Congress-led government at the center should not show any leniency toward the hard-liners and deal with them firmly.
Because of some hard-line fanatics who are bent on destroying the secular fabric of the coutry, there is always a risk to the unity and integerity of the country.
Peace and stability should always be the top priority of the government. All secular people and parties should join hands and support Shinde and the central government to save the country from these fanatics who want to divide people, spread riots and mischief in the country. — Zakaria Sultan, Riyadh
