Thrilling fare at IDB cricket tourney

Islamic Development Bank-Green (ICIEC) got the better of Islamic Development Bank-White by 12 runs during the third week of the IDB 10-over Cricket Tournament, organized by the Social and Cultural Forum at the Green Lawn ground at it’s premises.
ICIEC batted first and put on board 94 runs from their stipulated overs. Skipper Zeeshan top-scored with 20 runs followed by Riyadh who got 19. Rony got 2 wickets.
In reply, IDB-White fell short and managed 82 runs. Ayyad (16), Auwais (13) and Rony (13) got into double figures. Rajab bagged 2 wickets.
In the second match, IDB-Blue (ITD) struggled to beat IDB-Green by 13 runs after putting up 90 runs on board. Captain Muzzammil led from the front as he scored 25 runs off 21 balls. Misbah got 12 runs. Zeeshan and Rajab shared two wickets.
In the last match, IDB-Orange beat IDB-Red (ICD) by 2 runs. Thanks to Mohammed Azam’s all-round performance as he scored 39 runs and later on took one wicket. Zaid Omar (35) and Mohammed Shoib (13) were the others who contributed.
Maseeh and Tahir got one wicket each. However, IDB-Red (ICD) gave a spirited reply, but fell short by a couple of runs. Asif Mahmoud (25), Adnan Bintory (30) and Ebad (18) were the main scorers.
Mohammed Shoib got 2 wickets.
