Anaam banks on SAP to achieve targets

Anaam International Holding Group, the Jeddah-based food distribution, processing and agriculture company, said it had recently implemented Systems Application Products or SAP business applications for its Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP projects, known as the SAP R/3 ERP.
“Due to the company’s ambitious growth plans, we did not want to continue with our traditional customized business application that we saw could be a future impediment and decided that we needed one source to utilize as a completely accurate ERP system,” Hassan Yamani, CEO of Anaam International Holding Group, said.
“This made us to search for a new platform to support our business goals. After evaluating a number of systems applications, we determined that SAP was the best fit due to its long history of support in our industry,” said Yamani.
He said the company chose SAP, mainly because of its specific design in assisting in accounting functions and gaining increased control over other aspects of the company’s business.
“SAP also has an excellent reputation with major financial services organizations in the Kingdom and worldwide, enabling these institutions to recognize Anaam, likewise as a trustworthy Saudi enterprise,” Yamani said.
It is well known that ERP projects are usually a challenging endeavor, especially in implementing large scale integration of a disparate financial system, however the company has said it has found stable leverage, role-based access to critical data, applications and has successfully streamlined business processes across Procurement, logistics, sales and distribution, transportation and HR departments, in additional to their finance sector, from a growing list of distinct business benefits and increased competitiveness due to faster and more flexible business processes since implementing the system.
“We’ve set the stage in terms of the future and where we want the company to be and now have a common terminology across the business. We have visibility of total inventory across the organization, and for the first time, we have customer and sales profitability analysis and reporting,” Yamani said.
