Ayoun Al Badr scored a stunning three-wicket win over fancied Pak Saheen in round 5 of the 40-over Saudi ORIX cricket tournament, Al-Kharj Zone, organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association.
The hero of the match was Ali Shahid who destroyed the rival batting lineup taking 7 wickets.
Batting first Pak Shaheen were bowled out for 149. Abdul Wahab top-scored with 74 runs followed by Abdul Qadir who got 37.
Ayoun achieved their target for the loss of 7 wickets off 25.4 overs. Shahid remained unbeaten on 59. Iftekhar took 3 wickets while Abdul Wahid got 2.
In another match, Shouraim beat Jawar Al Jazirah in a high scoring encounter. Jawar Al Jazirah batted first and piled up 364 for 8. Nouman (109), Imran (65) and Asif (61) were the top scorers. Irfan got 2 wickets.
Shouraim achieved the target off 32.1 overs helped by a historical innings by Zeeshan Haider who scored an unbeaten 250. This was one of the best innings in the history of Riyadh Cricket. Saleem took 2 wickets.
Elsewhere, Amir Holidays scored a comfortable six-wicket win over CKK. Batting first CKK scored 353 off 40 overs. Nouman (78), Najeeb (54) and Sajid (34) did their best. Saeed Rahim bagged 4 wickets. Aslam gave him good support and took 2.
Chasing a huge target, Amir Holidays got off to a flying start through Irfan (81) and Sami (44). The middle order was propped up by Samiullah’s (66) and Kamran Hadi’s (63 not out). Imran got 2 wickets.
In Huraymala Cricket Zone, FUCHS beat Green Bangla by 32 runs. Batting first FUCHS scored 227 off 20 overs. Awais scored 101. Kakon took 3 wickets. Green Bangla scored 195 for 9. Jakir was the highest scorer with 70 runs.
Combined XI routed KFSH Knight Riders by 8 wickets. Batting first KFSH Knight Riders were bundled out for meager 153. Combined XI achieved the target off 12.4 overs. Taj Khan remained unbeaten on 86.
Later, Riyadh Panthers made short work of Attieh Steels by 9 wickets. Batting first Attieh Steels managed only 130. Hameed took 4 wickets while Raza grabbed 3. Panthers achieved their target off 8.1 overs. Sajid Cheema remained unbeaten on 85.
Riyadh Warriors got the better of RAC by 48 runs. Batting first, Riyadh Warriors scored 231 off 20 overs. Thanks to a scintillating knock of 101 by Abdulaziz. Abdul Rahim and Hassan were the other notable contributors with 51 and 34 runs respectively.
RAC managed 183. Mubashir (51) and Majid (38) were the main contributors. Taufeeq and Abdul Ghafoor grabbed 2 wickets each.
Thales struggled to beat Hyderabadi Warriors by 17 runs. Thales scored 231 off 20 overs. Malik Fahad was in brilliant form and scored 151 off 73 balls.
In reply Warriors scored 214. Abdul Kareem made 56 and Mubashir 42. Malik Fahad bowled well and took 4 wickets.
KFSH Green beat Saudi Jaguars by 5 wickets. Batting first Saudi Jaguars scored 178 for 5 off 20 overs. Naeem took 2 wickets while Azhar got 1. KFSH Green reached their target off 19.1 overs. Fakhar scored 54, Rafaqat 45 and Naveed 27.
In Riyadh Cricket Zone, AB Contracting routed Grundfos by 7 wickets. Batting first, Grundfos scored 145 off 20 overs. Ismail took 3 wickets. AB Contracting won the match comprehensively after reaching their target off 13 overs. Ismail scored 92.
TBCC beat Crescent by 79 runs. TBCC scored a formidable 214 off 20 overs. Faisal (47), Shamim (32) and Hakeem (30) were the main run getters. Crescent in reply made 135. Naveed scored 37. Aneesh and Faisal took 2 wickets each.
TCS Riyadh beat Royal Strikers by 22 runs. TCS Riyadh scored 202 off 20 overs. Prashant (53), Bhuwan (38) and Ashiq (36) did their best. In reply Royal Strikers scored 180. Suber played well and remained unbeaten on 68. Amit and Junaid got 2 wickets each.
Riyadh Fighters beat Punjab Stars by 7 wickets. Punjab Stars batted first and scored 178 in their stipulated overs. Taqi got 4 wickets and Nusrat 3. Riyadh Fighters achieved the target in 14.2 overs. Hameed remained not out on 51 while Imran Younus scored a brisk 43.
In other matches of Riyadh Zone, Sulaiman XI defeated Tigers and Imran XI beat Kashmir Press.
