Fareed Niazi to perform at India Fest opening

India Festival 2013 will open its doors to the public on Wednesday, as it kicks off with a performance by classical musician, Fareed Hasan Khan Niaziat the auditorium of International Indian School Boys Section.
The event is organized by India Forum under the aegis of the Consulate General of India.
Fareed hails from the musical lineage of the renowned Dilli Gharana (style of Delhi House), where he spent his childhood amid renowned artists. He heard the khayals and bandishes from his illustrious maternal grandfather, Naseer Ahmed Khan. 
Fareed is the paternal grandson of sarangi maestro Mohammed Ahmed Banney Khan and the eldest son of Nizamuddin Khan. He received his initial training under Zafar Ahmed Khan and was subsequently trained by his father and his uncle, Tanveer Ahmed Khan. He is studying the intricacies of singing under the tutelage of Iqbal Ahmed Khan of Dilli Gharana.
Talented, inspiring, dedicated and promising, Fareed reveals imagination and vocal agility in his recitals. He has a rare and gifted voice, which is both mellifluous and has a tremendous reach between the three octaves. His charming persona leaves the audience spellbound.
