The sport of badminton is very popular especially among Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) living in Saudi Arabia. Several clubs from different walks of life gather together to develop camaraderie, sportsmanship, for recreation and good healthy lifestyle.
Last week, Shuttle Eagle Badminton Club lead by Jay Irasusta (chairman) together with Lloyd Fuller, IT manager of Clorox sponsored the 1st Shuttle Eagle Invitational, which was held at Jeddah International School. With the help of its members, sports organizer Rick Lamsen and his assistant Jojo De Jessus, made the event a successful one. Games are held every Friday, Tuesday and Thursdays.
Different sections, such as novice, mixed doubles, men’s doubles and women’s doubles category.
