Most of the participants of this year’s edition came from the Iraq, UAE, Turkey, Germany and Jordan.
Consisting of exhibition and conference, the event, which received the official support of the Ministry of Oil, achieved a significant impact as being the foremost platform of the oil and gas industry of Iraq.
Some of the leading companies in the industry being hosted during the third Basra Oil & Gas were Bertling, Cameron, China Petroleum Technology, CNPC, Emerson Process Management, FMC Techonologies, Honeywell, Mitsubishi, Mott Mc Donald, Rumalia, Samsung, Scania, Shell, Siemens, Tenaris and Volvo. Additionally, Ministry of Oil Companies such as South Oil Company, South Gas Company, Iraq Drilling Company, State Company for Oil Projects, Missan Oil Company and Baghdad Training Institute played a major role in the event by networking with private company representatives about today and future of Iraq’s oil and gas industry.
Mott Macdonald, a platinum sponsor, points out: “Since we took part in the first event in 2010 we have always had a positive experience in Basra — this is why we decided to be platinum sponsor for the third year running. The event offers a good balance between networking opportunities, industry insights and expert discussions at the conference. Basra is the focal point of the energy industry in Iraq and we are confident it will become soon one of the oil capitals in the world.”
