King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for the Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has provided the Arabic library with six translated books. The translation project of Mawhiba endorses the spread of culture of giftedness and creativity in the Kingdom and Arab world, and enriches the Arabic library with specialized references.
Mawhiba aims to promote a sound understanding of talents and creativity between educators and researchers and achieve sustainable development.
The translated books cover a wide range of resources in the field of educating gifted persons, such as the concepts and models of giftedness, the different issues of creativity, recognizing gifted persons, designing and implementing programs for the gifted and introducing psychological and guidance services.
The translated books are entitled “Creativity: theories and themes, research and development and practice”,  “Teaching Models in the Education of the Gifted”, “The Handbook of Gifted Education”, “Designing Programs and Services for the Gifted”,  “Concepts of Talent” and “A Parent’s Guide in the Education of Gifted Children”.
Dr. Amal Haza, deputy secretary general for the women department and director of international programs said that translation has become very important source of information and knowledge and a medium for civilized communication and interaction between people. She highlighted the need for intellectual and informational assets to keep apace with Arab efforts to shift towards information economy.
