Bitumat, Al Arabi early finalists in Mobily & Globe Cup 2012

Pilipino Basketball Association (PBA), one of the most prominent basketball organizations in the Eastern region, now entered the final phase after a four months long competition.
Major sponsors of the event are Mobily and Globe in collaboration with Rannie Basanta. The co-sponsors are Kabayan Resturant, Bangos Restaurant, Nestle Mineral Water and SADIP Company.
Teams entered in Developmental League are: Warboh, Bawan Wood, Pampanga Brothers, MFSI Steel Factory and Arcan Vita; Inter-Company League A teams: Saudi Steel Pipe Co., SADIP Company Ltd., Al Arabi Factory for Steel, Riyadh Ceramics, ISG, Bitumat Co. Ltd. Base Tech Co. and Arnon Plastic; Inter-Company-B Division — Uragon’z, Al Arabi Warriors, Batook Chewing Gum Factory, Spring Water Destroyer, Hempel Paint and Maadaniyah Company.
First qualifier in Developmental League to clash for the championship is the Warboh of team manager Nonoy Porlares and Dong Tesio under coach Bunso Vinas, which will play Bawan Wood of coach Richell Rosa Sena in a best-of-thre championship series.
In the Inter-Company A Division the final four qualifiers are: Saudi Steel Pipe of Team Manager Louie Villalon and Coach Buboy Plarisan, Bitumat Company Ltd. of team manager Gemmy Tambio and coach Dominic Salas; SADIP Company managed by Mar Sta. Maria and coached by Daryl Pitogo and Al Arabi Factory for Steel of Boy Perez.
In Inter-Company B the final four qualifiers are the D’ Uragon’z of Coach Bornok Buemia, Hempacore of team manager and coach Ely Panahon, Madaniyah Company of coach Joey Madinah and Batook Chewing Gum of coach Jun Nacion.
At the helm of the PBA is Commissioner Abdul Aziz “Jawo” Dizon with Toto Iremedio as tournament director. Jose Iballe, Rizalde Basilio, Guillermo Canlas, Pedro Clemente, Jojo Dale and Carlos Dizon comprised the technical staff.
Basketball Referees Association of Dammam handles the tournament officiating under the chairmanship of newly elected chairman Carlos Balane. The members are Carlos Merira, Ric Andres, Cring Umandak, Jeff Andrade Valencia, Arnel Castro, Dante Muhi, Ver Marcelo, Ricky , Choy Tubaying, Arnel Bambilla and Ely Panahon, the outgoing BRAD chairman.
