All set for 2012 Worldwide Balikbayan Bowling Tournament

All is set for the much anticipated bowling tournament for OFWs and Balikbayans. The one-day bowling event will be held on Dec. 27 at SM North Edsa Bowling Center, Quezon City, Philippines starting at 9:30 a.m.
This special bowling event dubbed 2012 Worldwide Balikbayan Bowlling Tournament has been held annually for more than 15 years now at the initiative of bowling organizations from Saudi Arabia with the main objective of promoting unity and friendship among Filipino OFWs and Balikbayan bowlers from all over the world. The organizer for this year is the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR).
A guaranteed prize of more than 400,000 pesos is at stake with the champion taking home a whopping 150,000 pesos.
Registration is 5,000 pesos for the first qualifying 4-game series and 2,500 pesos for the optional second try to qualify. Special prizes will also be given to high scores and UFTBR will be giving away special gift packs to all participants.
The main sponsors of the event are Smart Philippines, Sky Freight Forwarders, Bong Coo of The Bowler (for customized athletic wear), MB Cargo Ventures, Powerhorse Philippines, Dell C Travel and Tourism, Cebuana Lhuillier, Fil Estate Realty Sales, Inc. and Mr. & Mrs. Ric and Gine Ventura. All OFW bowlers on vacation this December are invited to join. Campaign and invitation for the event started more than three months ago through the Internet and social networks and positive response and confirmation of participation have been received from Filipino bowlers worldwide.
