Bahra Cables Co. signed a contract for SR 400 million for the supply of low and medium voltage cables to Saudi Electricity Co. during 2013.
Talal Idriss, CEO of Bahra Cables Co., an affiliate of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), said: “We are pleased with the great confidence given to the company by one of the major national companies, the Saudi Electricity Company, in our products under this deal.
“As usual, we will fulfill the terms and conditions specified therein to maintain the confidence of our clients inside and outside Saudi Arabia,” he said.
He added: “Our products meet the highest international standards and this is documented by the various accreditation certificates such as KEMA, IPH, SASO, LPCB, CSA, BASEC and others for its production of power cables.
The company, as well, got ISO 9001: 2008 for its collection of medium and high voltage cables up to 132 kV. Meanwhile, Bahra Cables is the first Saudi cable manufacturer that has ISO 14001: 2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007.”
Idriss added: “In view of the high demand for our products, we expanded our production of power cables to meet the needs of large companies both locally and internationally. Thanks to our commitment to the highest standards of quality, the company's cables are used in many important projects throughout the Gulf and Africa, starting with the airport project in Senegal, Metro Al-Mashaer in Makkah, the new King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, the expansion of the Holy Mosque in Makkah, which is the largest expansion to date, Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University for Girls in Riyadh, King Saud University and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The opening of the company's plant for the production of PVC recently helped to cover the company's consumption of plastics in order to achieve the highest quality.”
