Pakistan's Consul General Abdul Salik Khan said that relations between Pakistani Navy and the Royal Saudi Navy Forces are of strategic nature and goodwill visits of Pakistani Navy ships will strengthen cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a reception held at PNS Shamsheer which arrived at Jeddah port this week.
Commander of Naval Base Jeddah, Rear Adm. Moeed Ahmed Al Shamrani, Capt Saher Tahlawi, Chairman of Jeddah Islamic Port, consuls general of different countries, diplomats, dignitaries, media persons, officers of the Royal Saudi Navy Forces and a large number of community members were present on the occasion.
The consul general welcomed the officers and JCOs of Pakistan Navy to Saudi Arabia and said that relations between the two countries were excellent at all levels. He said that these relations were based on deep love and reverence. These relations at institutional levels are also time tested.
Earlier, Commanding Officer Capt. Al Veer Noor welcomed the guests on board and thanked Saudi counterparts for the hospitality.
At the end, Consul General Abdul Salik Khan, Rear Adm. Moeed Ahmed Al Shamrani and Commanding Officer of the Ship Captain AlVeer Noor cut the cake to celebrate longlasting friendship of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
