Movenpick Hotel Alkhobar's famous Maharaja, widely-acclaimed as the Eastern Province's finest Indian restaurant, is taking a deliciously different step with their latest offering.
From Nov. 16-23, Maharaja will be celebrating and preparing the legendary Street Foods of India, using only the finest ingredients and strictest hygiene. Long-time fans of Maharaja, and new friends alike, are invited to come partake of the "everyday" foods that have delighted and nourished people from all walks of life, from Mumbai to Kolkata, for hundreds of years.
Among the mouthwatering favorites on offer are different varieties of "Chaats", savory Indian dishes prepared with herbs and tamarind chutneys, known for their multitudes of tastes and flavors in a single bite.
Also on offer are several varieties of "Toss and Fries," dishes traditionally cooked up fresh over high heat on a "Tawa" flat-iron griddle, or crisp-fried. Special spice blends enhance the flavors of these well-loved South Asian delights.
Michelin-star Chef Vineet Bhatia will be present and will sign copies of his popular cook-book "Rasoi" for his fans. "Don't miss this unique opportunity to get up close with the master chef," said Sanjeev Tandon, director of sales and marketing.
