MUMBAI: Cancer survivor Yuvraj Singh has been picked in India's squad for the first two Tests against England.
The 32-year-old left-hander was part of a 15-man squad named on Monday by a new selection committee, headed by Sandeep Patil, that has the challenging task of constructing a new batting lineup after the retirements of Rahul Dravid and V.V.S. Laxman.
Yuvraj, who helped India win the 2007 World Twenty20 and the 2011 one-day World Cup, returns to a test side of which he was not a regular even before his illness.
Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also returns to the squad while left-hand batsman Suresh Raina failed to make the cut.
