Riyadh to host industrial security event

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Higher Commission for Industrial Security, will organize the 15th International Conference and Exhibition for Industrial Security (IFSEC & OSH Arabia 2012) in December at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC).
The conference, which will be held Dec. 9-11, will be sponsored by Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) and Technology Control Company.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Higher Commission for Industrial Security Khalid bin Sa’ad Al-Aqeel expressed thanks to the ministry officials for their due concern to the issue of industrial security.
He said the event is being held annually and meant to lay down strategies and scientific plans for industrial security and explore means of cooperation with departments and sectors concerned with this area.
He said the conference will tackle three major issues: protection, fire and safety where a series of work papers will be presented. The intent of the conference is to spread of culture of safely at work places and how to enforce safety standards there.
The exhibition will display the latest protection, fire and safety solutions from international exhibitors, he said.
More than 16 countries will join the event including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European and Asian countries in addition to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
