2013 Nissan Altima earns 5-star NCAP rating

THE completely redesigned all-new 2013 Nissan Altima has earned a 5-star overall vehicle safety rating as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). Starting with 2011 models, NHTSA introduced more stringent tests and requirements in order to earn 5-star ratings.
“With the new Altima, we made available a suite of safety innovations, including intelligent headlights, Blind Spot Warning and Moving Object Detection, just to name a few,” said Samir Cherfan, sales and marketing director, Nissan Middle East. “The 2013 Altima is the whole package, offering class-leading fuel efficiency with an 18 percent improvement over the outgoing model, premium comfort and advanced safety features.”
The all-new 2013 Nissan Altima comes equipped with a variety of standard safety features, including the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System, driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags, roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags, Vehicle Dynamic Control, 3-point ALR/ELR seat belt system.
, Isofix child seat mountings, and zone body construction with front and rear crumple zones.
Available features include next-generation Safety Shield technologies, including Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Moving Object Detection systems using an innovative single rear camera.
The all-new 2013 Nissan Altima is offered in three 2.5-liter engine equipped models, 2.5 S, 2.5 SV and 2.5 SL, along with two 3.5-liter V6 equipped models, 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL.
Options Packages: Navigation pack (Altima SV & Altima 2.5 SL), navigation system
7-inch color-touch display, Bose audio and 9-speaker system (upgrading from standard 6-speaker system).

Technology pack (Altima 3.5 SL only): Navigation system, 7-inch color touch display, next-generation Safety Shield Technologies, including Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Moving Object Detection (MOD) systems.

Remote engine start option is available for S and SV grades.
