This is in reference to the column “Obama remains the best choice for US voters” by Aijaz Z. Syed. Henry Ford once said that the elections are a circus. Everything is planned out and people think they are really making a choice. Well, it sure looks like a circus even though it’s a Hollywood kind. The contenders when they come in front of the camera they give you the impression there is a huge team of directors and producers behind the scenes.
The line that Mitt Romney in his nasal tone and Clint Eastwood style of speaking from one side of the mouth was patently Hollywood stuff.
“Now I have made mistakes,” says Romney and pauses for effect, then he tells the “foxed” crowd pointing at his running mate “but this is not one of them.” Roar from the crowd... like as if they were cheering a trick of a magician in the circus.
So if Romney wins there won’t be much of a difference. Yes he might attack Iran. But the US spy agencies might not let him. One thing is for sure, he’ll take the empire faster down the road of disaster, while Obama will take his time, maybe hand the honor over to his successor. — Hameed, by e-mail
