Official approval to license women lawyers has been issued following several discussions at the Board of Experts including several justice authorities.
As there was a proposal to limit their license to civil affairs, it was decided the license to practice the profession is to be granted to them without limitations as women used to practice legal defense at courts –- a woman can legally delegate another to speak on behalf of her just like lawyers — as approved by Sharia.
The difference now is that law graduates will have a license to practice law.
